Navajo Rugs

Navajo rugs actually come from this area of the United States- from the four corners region where the Navajo Nation is located. In its origin, Navajo weaving was solely used for the purpose of clothes and blankets, but as time went on, the desire to create rugs for export and tourism became a worthy endeavor. Now it is common to see Navajo rugs throughout Arizona and the world, because they are highly desirable.

Navajo rugs are known for their earthy or simple tones and geometric patterns. They are handmade on a loom, with a flat weaving process and are often made of wool or cotton.People are drawn to Navajo rugs because of the deep history and culture involved with Native culture, so if you are looking to create an interior space in this style, our Navajo rug selection has a wide variety of colors, shapes, sizes, and patterns.

Usually, you will need to choose a rug that is 2' less than your room size in width and length. For example, if you have a room size 5' x 7', then you will need a rug size 3' x 5', and if you have a room size 11' x 14', then you will probably will need a rug size 9' x 12'.

  • Define the dimensions of the room.
  • Keep at least 18 inches of bare floor exposed by the rug’s edges.
